Join the Society

Eligibility, required documents, the admission process, and members' rights and obligations under the Society's Charter.

Three categories of membership

  • Full members

    Vietnamese citizens or organisations practising in aesthetic plastic surgery who meet the criteria, endorse the Charter and apply voluntarily.

  • Associate members

    Vietnamese citizens or organisations who do not meet full-member criteria but contribute to the Society's development and endorse its Charter.

  • Honorary members

    Distinguished specialists, including international experts, who endorse the Charter and are invited by unanimous agreement of the Executive Board.

Full membership criteria

Individuals

  • A Vietnamese citizen with full civil capacity and no criminal proceedings pending
  • A licensed physician practising in aesthetic plastic surgery at a recognised specialist clinic, hospital department or university
  • Or holding a valid Vietnamese practising certificate in aesthetic plastic surgery
  • Able to participate in the Society's regular activities

Organisations

  • A legal entity established under Vietnamese law operating in aesthetic plastic surgery
  • Nominating a physician as its representative with authority to decide matters concerning the entity
  • Notifying the Society in writing within 15 working days of any change of representative

Application documents

Individual

  1. Completed membership application form
  2. Certified copy of national ID card or valid passport
  3. One passport-size photograph

Organisation

  1. Completed membership application form
  2. Copy of the establishment licence, founding decision or business registration certificate
  3. Written nomination of the representative
  4. Curriculum vitae and one passport-size photograph of the representative

Admission process

  1. Submit

    Send the complete application to the Society Office.

  2. Compile

    The Office compiles applications and reports to the Standing Committee.

  3. Review

    The Standing Committee reviews and decides within 15 working days of receipt.

  4. Dues

    Approved members pay their dues and receive a membership card.

  5. Announce

    The President issues the admission decision. New members are announced at a board meeting or in writing.

Members' rights

  • Protection of legitimate rights and interests in accordance with the law
  • Access to information and participation in the Society's activities
  • Participation in discussion and decisions on the Society's programmes
  • Attendance at the General Assembly, and the right to stand, nominate and vote for leadership positions and the Inspection Committee
  • The right to introduce new members
  • Eligibility for commendation under the Society's rules
  • Issuance of a membership card
  • The right to withdraw from the Society

Associate and honorary members enjoy the same rights as full members, except the right to vote on the Society's affairs and to stand, nominate or vote for the Executive and Inspection Committees.

Members' obligations

  • Full compliance with the law and with the Society's Charter and rules
  • Participation in the Society's activities and collegial cooperation with other members
  • Safeguarding the Society's reputation; not acting in its name without written authorisation
  • Compliance with the Society's information and reporting requirements
  • Payment of membership dues in full and on time
