MSAPS donates VND 100 million to communities affected by Typhoon Yagi

On 9 October 2024, representatives of the Mekong Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (MSAPS) presented VND 100 million at the headquarters of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City to support northern communities recovering from Typhoon Yagi and the flooding that followed.

The donation was contributed by members of the MSAPS Executive Committee and Society members, reflecting the medical community's solidarity and social responsibility toward people affected by the disaster.

The delegation was led by Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Lam - President of MSAPS, with Dr. Nguyen Thanh Chon - Secretary General of MSAPS serving as deputy head, together with Executive Committee members.

Representatives of the Can Tho Medical Association also attended the handover, including Dr. Phan Thanh Tong - President, Dr. Duong Van Tham - Standing Vice President, and Dr. Nguyen Truong Giang - Vice President.

A shared commitment to the community

The funds were raised following an appeal from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City communicated through the Can Tho Medical Association. Members of the Executive Committee and the Society contributed amounts ranging from VND 1 million to VND 30 million.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Nhan - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City received the donation, expressed his appreciation to the physicians and encouraged MSAPS to continue supporting community welfare initiatives.

This activity reflects MSAPS's commitment to connecting professional medical development with social responsibility and strengthening a culture of mutual support among its members.
